Sourdough FAQs

Questions about sourdough, ordering, storage, pickup, or markets? Here are the things customers ask most.

Is sourdough healthier than regular bread? Sourdough is made through fermentation, which gives the dough more time to develop. Many people find real sourdough easier to enjoy than standard bread because of the slower process and simple ingredients.

What makes sourdough different? Real sourdough uses a live starter and a longer fermentation process. This creates a deeper flavor, better texture, and a more traditional style of bread.

Do we use commercial yeast? Palm & Proof focuses on real sourdough and natural fermentation. Some menu items may vary by recipe, but our brand is built around sourdough-based baking.

How far ahead should I order? Because we bake in small batches, we recommend ordering at least 2-3 days ahead when possible. This helps us prepare everything fresh.

Do you offer pickup? Yes. Palm & Proof offers local pickup depending on availability and schedule.

Do you offer delivery? Delivery availability may vary depending on location, order size, and schedule. Check the order page or contact us for current options.

Where is Palm and Proof located? Palm & Proof is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Do you sell at farmers markets? Yes. Palm & Proof attends local markets and pop-ups. Market dates may vary, so check our Instagram or website for updates.

How should I store the sourdough bread? Sourdough is best enjoyed fresh. For short-term storage, keep it wrapped or covered at room temperature. For longer storage, slice and freeze it, then toast when ready to eat.

How long does my sourdough stay fresh? Sourdough is best within the first few days. Toasting can help bring back texture after the first day.

Can I order for an event? Yes. For events, we recommend reaching out ahead of time so we can confirm availability, menu options, and timing.

Do you offer catering? Yes. Palm & Proof offers catering-style baked goods and sourdough items for events, gatherings, and special orders.
